duplicate opportunity entity in ribbon RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi guys, I was wondering if there was a quick fix to the problem below, clearly when I have been messing with my system I have managed to create a duplicate 'opportunity' button as you can see from the screenshot below.  Can you please direct me as to where I would find the rogue entity / view / record?  I have checked the obvious areas of entity / opportunity and cannot see easily how this might have happened.  I have confirmed that this does not exist in our sandbox and the worry is that I have sales opps in two places!

    Can someone please advise :-)

  • There must be an additional relationship between accounts and opportunities. You would be able to filter on the custom relationships in account entity customization to figure out the one that should go.

  • There could be either of the two reasons:

    1. Multiple relationships between account and opportunity

    OR

    2. In form xml of account multiple navigation links for account-opportunity relationship.

  • Mamatha,

I think I have found the problem, it is a field I created in CRM2011 for mapping accounts through partners (I am pretty sure it is) and when I try to delete it I get the error that other compnoents rely upon it.

rather than work all the way through these records, can I hide the button or is safer to delete?

Happy to work through it and now that 2013 supports sub accounts it is no longer needed.

  • You can try removing the relationship node in form xml by customizing the account form 's navigation(through form customization)

That won't delete the relationship would only hide it for you.
