Transferring Sync Framework Data from one SSCE database to another SSCE database RRS feed

  • Question

  • As part of our application deployment process we plan to deploy a fresh SSCE database (containing fresh read-only product data) to the client then import all of their transaction data from their previous SSCE database into this new database.  How can one also import all of the sync framework/session data from the previous SSCE database into this new database?  I have not been able to find a list of tables that are used in the SSCE database for synchronization.  Importing the old sync session data into the new database will eliminate the re-sync of old transaction data.

    TIA!

  • Hi Darrin,

Why not go the other way around? Basically, take the read only data from the fresh SSCE database and add it to the existing SSCE database instead.

The internal tracking logic is enabled when the sync relationship is established the first time you sync.

    Thanks

  • I was hoping that would not be the response.

Going the other route would require the removal of all the referential integrity constraints prior to removing the old product data and importing the new product data.  This is because the transactional data is related to the product data with foreign key constraints.

    Thanks.
