Future of silverlight RRS feed

    I am new to web development, I have started learning Silverlight, I just want to know what would the scope for this technology in the future, I haven't seen much websites using silverlight. Please give suggestions regarding this.

  • I think the future will be bright for silverlight given time. There are so many professional bloggers paid by competitors out there trashing silverlight without even knowing what it can really do. I too just started learning silverlight a few months ago and I love it. What takes me 5 minutes to do with silverlight would take me a day or more to do in asp or java. Just to place a grid on asp with some sort of style to it means you have to piss around with java script, css and c#. I can build a site in silverlight in a 10th of the time using silverlight and once you've installed the plugin which is only a few seconds you are ready to go.


    The HTML5 vs Silverlight trash going around is ridiculous and is meant to discourage ppl. What does HTML have to do with plugins it just determines how a web page is rendered and it isn't a programming language like the bloggers try to make it out to be. Read a book on both and you'll see that for rapid development silverlight is the choice for all the tools it provides and ease of development.

    by using of silver light you can develop diffent type of animations and other thing is it support more browsers than any other technologies like flash and flex

    and here you can develop very easily and you do functionalities by using c# and vb code

    and anothe rthing is by using of silverlight you can develop ria(rich internet application)

    and this is working as programming language also

    mvc is done with silver light u can get lot of code reduse and lot of controls also given by microsoft so

    you can design any rich app easily
