I have this systems:
· SQL Server 2008 Enterprise
· SQL Native Client 10.0
· SQL Backward Compatibility 2005
· SQL XMO 2005
and I am guetting this error message:
Failed to build the OLAP cubes. Error: Analysis Services session failed with the following error: Failed to connect to the Analysis Services server SHAREPOINT. Error: Cannot connect to Analysis Services version '10.0.2531.0'.
Standard Information:PSI Entry Point:
Project User: ARKIX\mossinstall

Project Server Analysis Cube
We have followed these steps http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd285466(office.12).aspx
The strange point is that some Cubes works perfect, and these one in particular does not.
We checked all it says here http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlanalysisservices/thread/d7ddcb5c-88d0-4bd9-aee8-b93ca12c99a6
And all is correct. However the error message is there any way.
Can anyone has another solution?
Thanks a lot, Lina

Bizarre, I had this on site today, and I'd blogged it back in June 09. Basically you need to use the Native client from the SQL Server 2008 Feature Pack October 2008. http://appleparkltd.spaces.live.com/?_c11_BlogPart_BlogPart=blogview&_c=BlogPart&partqs=amonth%3d6%26ayear%3d2009"Ben_Howard" wrote in message news:0027c45d-3e6f-4bfe-af4f-4ab68daf1368...Hi Lina,This looks very much like the 2nd issue on Brian Smith's blog - http://blogs.msdn.com/b/brismith/archive/2007/02/14/common-error-messages-when-building-cubes.aspxWhen you say some cubes work perfectly, are these cubes also built by Project Server (via other instances), or are you referring to cubes that have been built by another application?Regards, Ben."LinaM" wrote in message news:715ed62e-e3fd-4656-88ef-df773c89873f...
