  • Question

  • VS2008 is just about here.

Will it support OCS 2007 Speech Server? Are there any issues with using VS2008 for speech development?

If not then when will it be supported?

  • Sorry for not responding earlier.  Speech Server 2007 development tools are not integrated with VS 2008.  I don't have an answer for your 2nd question.  You can install and use VS 2008 alongside VS 2005, so this limitation shouldn't restrict your use of VS 2008 for other purposes.

  • No one has a definitive answer?

I tried downloading and installing 2008 but the download was corrupted (missing file message).

  • Now that VS 2008 is here has there been any date given for Speech Server integration?

Unfortunate that there has been no movement on this for 7 months.  Is there still no movement toward putting VS 2008 support into Speech Server?

    Thanks.

  • I completely agree. The lack of tooling support for Visual Studio 2008 is very aggravating.

While I'm at it the lack of Windows Server 2008 is just as frustrating.
