Re-Activation Blues RRS feed

  • Hi.  I just hooked my PC back up to the internet.  It used to have LiveOne Care in it but has since been reformatted.  I re-installed the program and logged in...all that good stuff.  I am getting a message telling me that I need to buy a subscription, even though mine isn't up until July.  When I follow the link it says if I re-installed, to go back to the program and choose re-activate.  Problem is, I do not have a re-activate option. 


    What do I do?

  • There is no "re-activation" as such. You need to use the subscribe link following a reinstall. When you sign in with the subscription LiveID, it will see that subscription and activate the reinstalled copy of OneCare. 

    If you have an active subscription, which is what was created when you activated on the first computer, you need to use the same LiveID on the subsequent activations. If you are arriving at a screen to purchase or provide a token, you are likely not using the same LiveID as the subscription ID.


    If you don't recall the LiveID you used for your subscription, you will need to contact support who can provide that information to you using your Key and/or contact information.

    Alternatively, sign in at http://billing.microsoft.com with email addresses that you have set up as LiveIDs and one will show your subscription listed - that would the LiveID to use to activate with.
