Failed to send SIP request: No such host is known RRS feed

    Hello all,

I received that error when I run the validation (both authentication options: Kerberos and NTLM)

No firewall enable but anyway I add the port on the exlusion list

DNS server enable and listening all IP addresses

Server is not an EDGE server.

    Any idea?

    Maximum hops: 2
Failed to register user: User sip:jsmith@test.gamit @ Server testpool.test.gamit
Failed to send SIP request: No such host is known
Suggested Resolution: Make sure that the server is listening on the specified IP address/Port/Transport. If you have a firewall make sure that this port is open. Make sure that the server is running. If this is an Edge Server, ensure that remote user access has been enabled. This can be ignored if you have not enabled the transport on the target server.

  • Hi Juan,

Did you have any luck with this error in the end? I've just installed OCS2007 and I'm getting the same error message.

    Maximum hops: 2
Failed to register user: User sip:jdoe@xyzcompany.com.au @ Server
Failed to send SIP request: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it xxx.xx.xxx.xxx:5061

    Regards ... Andrew
