  • hi i have a big problem i had win xp pro on my laptop then i down graded it to home thinking it would make my computer faster but no it didnt i have reinstalled it back to pro and have found out that after doing that i have managed to use a illegal product key as i got the cd and key from a friend i have found the key i was supposed to use underneith my laptop but carnt seem to be able to change the key to the legal key i have here it just keeps saying that the key is invalid but the key and computer is very old so i was just woundering dose the key become invalid anfter some time or not and if not how do i change the illegle key to the correct key as i dont have any way of accuiring the disk i used

  • Hi, try this: go on microsoft support website and write-product key change in the search machine. I found a little tool that you can change your key with but couldn't find it now for you. All you need is to download very small tool which removes itself afterwards.
