It is very genuine and there is a genuine COA sticker on the computer. Microsoft Security Essentials is installed, but will not run anymore. Any help at getting this windows re-activated and free and clean of mal-ware would be goodFriday, March 4, 2011 7:39 AM

It will - although it won't give us all the information we need.You really need to sort the malware infection out first.Boot to Safe Mode with Networking,Download and install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (www.malwarebytes.org )update it if you can - then run a Full System scan in your usual user profile, and a quick scan in every other profile.delete anything it finds.see if that helps
