    I have used money since 2002 and the last ver was 2007 delux. my comuter died and I have replaced it with a new one. I have installed the sunset version and copied the old file from the old computer HD. The " check box" to remember password is blank and I cannot remember the password from 13 years ago.  I need to access this file for tax purposes.  Is there a work around

    No. Sorry.

    Keep a pad and pencil by your bed in case the old credentials pop into your head.

    One other possibility:

    If you still have the old computer it may be that a computer shop could get it running long enough to open Money, remove the password, save the .mny file, and then copy it to your new computer.

    If the problem with the old computer is a failed hard disk, it is sometimes possible to recover data from the disk despite disk errors.  One program that has a good reputation is SpinRite: https://www.grc.com/sr/spinrite.htm.  It's not free and it's a bit geeky to use, but can sometimes work wonders.
