can not validate windows using the purchased Windows Genuine Advantage Kit RRS feed

    I purchased Windows Genuine Advantage Kit online and used the CD coming in the Kit to install a fresh copy of windows XP pro. however when i tried to activate the windows i received an error message saying that the product key is invalid!!! this key came with the Kit that i bought online. how come it's invalid?

    Did you wipe out the existing partion, reformat then create a new partion prior installing Windows? Please review Setting Up Windows here:  http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/winxp/default.mspx . Please see if you missed any steps during the process you used to install Windows. If you should have questions about your Genuine Advantage Kit order (including what the product key is… please refer to the contact listed below.
