Vista suddenly fails validation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Last night when I booted up my Windows Vista Home Premium system, I was greeted with a window claiming that my trial had expired and windows now needed to be validated.   I entered my product key right off my legitimate, RETAIL, GENUINE Windows Vista box only to then be told that my product key is not valid because it is already in use.  Yeah, in use by me from when I entered it to activate windows when I first installed it several months ago.  I then clicked on the link to validate windows online, where I was told that MGA could not tell whether or not my copy of Vista was valid,  so it conveinently has now deemed my copy to ne not genuine.  WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH THAT?  Now when I boot up all I can do is go to Microsoft's web site for purchasing a new license and it says in the bottom left hand corner of the screen that "this copy of windows is not genuine".  THIS IS DAMN REDICULOUS.   Its a good  thing that I still have my XP machine.  I regret buying vista.  I think it is one of the most foolish software purchases I've ever made.  Microsoft really needs to get their issues straightened out.

BTW when it failed validation online, it gave me this error code: 0xC004C4A8
