CRM 2011 lead activity qualificiaton question RRS feed

  • Hi –<o:p></o:p>

    I have a question about qualifying leads/activities in CRM 2011. If we qualify a Sales/Marketing Lead to an account, all of the closed activities are carried over to the account and are showing as closed activities. However, some of the activities are confidential and the sales/executive team does not want the users who have access to the account to open cases/activities to see the activities that were entered as a lead.<o:p></o:p>

    We have tried to adjust the activity security role to fix this, but then users are unable to view and adjust activities which is an issue.<o:p></o:p>

    With that being said, we wanted to see if any of the two below options (or if there are any alternative options) were possible and how we could accomplish either of these (maybe by modifying relationships, etc..).<o:p></o:p>

    Option 1: Have the lead activities not carry over to the account during the qualification process, but remain in the system under lead activities (for future reference if needed)<o:p></o:p>

    Option 2: Continue to have lead activities carry over, but users in other security roles that have full rights to activities can’t see the closed activities that were entered as leads.<o:p></o:p>

    Any feedback or guidance on this would be appreciated.<o:p></o:p>
