Session.CreateSession hangs when a Version has been explicitly set

    Question

  • Hi,

I am struggling with specifying a version when creating a HPC Session.

It is hanging indefinitely in Session.CreateSession(sessionStartInfo)

On the HPC Manager I see a job called "<jobName> - WCF service" in state configuring.

I am specifying the version as 20130916.2 in this case.

The service works fine if I do not specify a version.

I am using HPC Pack 2012 4.03906.0, the client and server version match.

Can anyone help me with this?

    Kind Regards

    James

If the service version does not exist it throws an error telling me so.
