"O" File Attribute Causing Problems? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, I have been using SyncToy for sometime now to back up data to a corporate server at my work place.  Recently, our IT department moved our servers to a remote location.  My first sync after the server move resulted in all my local files being deleted!  Luckily, they were in the Recycle Bin.

I have changed my folder pairs to "Echo" but now SyncToy is copying all files to the server every time.  I have noticed that in Windows Explorer, all of the server files now have an "O" attribute (Off-line?).  Apparently, SyncToy is treating these files as changed from the local version and wants to copy the local file over.  I'm wondering if this is due to the remote files?  If so, is there a way to configure SyncToy to ignore the "O" attribute?
