Microsoft Money 2006 Deluxe - Lifetime Planner Issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • Just retired at age 57 and lifetime planner wants to take a 10% penalty for early withdrawal. This is the law for IRA's, not for the 401k that I have. Any advice on a fix for this? Thanks

  • It can't be "fixed", but just enter a "Other Income" category called "penalty override" equal to the penalty amount to cancel it out.  The same applied to me with my IRA under 72t rules.
