Can't validate my windows when it's an original RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I have been having issues with my PC so I had to desinstall and reinstall some programmes. With one of the windows update the windows diagnostic has been installed. It asked me to valide my windows but then refused it saying it was not an original when it is!!

How can I enter my key? How can I validate my software?

I just ran the diagnostic. See log below.
    Thanks

  • Hello Biboui,

Your HP Pavilion computer has nongenuine Volume Licensing installations of both Windows XP Pro and Office Professional 2003.

Do you have a Certificate of Authenticity for both of these programs?

It's likely your computer will have a CoA for Windows--please look on the bottom of your laptop.  If there is a CoA, then the computer is still licensed to run the version and edition of Windows listed on the CoA.  In order to Get Genuine Windows, please contact HP customer service to see if you can still order Recovery discs from them:  http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00810334&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=1849852

If not HP, then try a third party supplier such as www. restoredisks.com

If you do not have a CoA for Office, then in order to Get Genuine, you need to purchase licenses for the edition of Office you want to run from Microsoft or your favorite software retailer.

You can also use the Office 2010 beta for free until October 2010 for your productivity software needs.
