    Hi All,

    I am looking for a job in .Net technology and have been in this area for about 1 year. I am not really sure about the specific certification which will help me fetching a job. I think getting a certification in VS 2008 will help more than VS2005.

    Please give your opinion on this.

    What do you have experience with?  What are you going to be working with for the next 2.5 years?

    How long will it take you to certify?

    The VS2008 exam track will be releasing individual exams from now until Q1 Calendar Year 2009 so there is still plenty of time before the entire MCPD exam track is even out on the market as production exams.

    Focus on where you want to be and study in that direction.  If it will take you 6 months to achieve the MCPD, why not study the VS2008 track with .NET 3.5 and that way you will be getting certified "early" on that specific set of updated technologies?
