    I'm having the same problem as people with Windows XP Service Pack 3 are reporting. I've checked Zone Alarm, Avira Anti-Vir, Threatfire, and Spybot SD, don't see any error messages in any of them. I'm up to date on my updates, etc.

    I got a same error on my Vista Business SP2, Japanese version. But I believe that there are no connection problems... IE, Firefox, MSNmsg and other network apps work fine.

    Dear Customers,

    Do you see any warning and error events shown in the Application section under the Windows Logs for the MatSvc event source? To find such events,

    1. Run "eventvwr.msc" from the Start menu or the Run box (with the Start-R key).

    2. Expand "Windows Logs" on the left pane. Select "Application" under the expanded "Windows Logs" node.

    3. Click on "Filter Current Log..." on the Actions pane on the right.

    4. Select "MatSvc" from the "Event sources" dropdown box. Hit OK.

    5. Select all the events shown and right click on any of them. On the popup menu that came up, select Copy -> Copy Details as Text.

    6. Paste the copied text to this thread.

    Here is how I fixed the "Unable to Download Troubleshooters" error in Windows Vista:

    Using Windows Explorer go to your "Programs" Folder, click on the "Microsoft FixIt Center" folder and for each .exe (should be 4 I believe - 2 fix it center exe's and two or three matsvs's exe's) right click on them and select "Properties", select the 'Compatability' tab and select "Run as Administrator" for all users and for user who has the properties box open.  Download the sound diag cab as explained in the other threads and move it into the SAPFLDR.  Then run the fix it center again.  This solved the problem for me.
