  • Question

  • I want to install Visual Studio 2008 - Professional Edition, on a computer with Microsoft Windows 7 (home edition).  Then I want to insall Microsfot Visual Basic 2008 Step by Step.  Do I have to do anything special because these disks are before Windows 7 was released?

  • Hi,

I don't think so. Visual Studio 2008 works great on Windows 7. Just install all things in the normal way.

Best Regards. Please Mark Answered, If my solution solves your problem.

  • Confirmed. I have Visual Studio 2008 (and also 2010) installed in Windows 7. It installed without any trouble by just running the Setup program.

I don't own "Microsfot Visual Basic 2008 Step by Step", but from what I can see from the description of the book, the CDROM just contains sample code, so it wouldn't need any installation. Simply, load the sample code into the Visual Studio instance that you previously installed.
