Windows 7 Ultimate suddenly reporting that its not genuine

Question
-
Using my pc today, suddenly got a pop up saying that my copy of Windows 7 is not genuine and the key is incorrect, re-enterd my product key but it is still saying the same thing and that my key has now been blocked. I have had Windows 7 Ultimate installed and activated for a couple of months now so I don't understand why this message has suddenly appeared, it was a boxed retail copy.
Here's the diag report.

Hi Lost Jonny,
MSDN versions of Windows don't come in a box and do not come with a CoA (MSDN Keys are downloaded from the subscriber's MSDN download site account or are included with his/her other MSDN disks that are sent on a monthly basis). So your Box and CoA must be forged and it does not surprise me that the they don't have the proper information printed on them.
Just provide the information as best as you can and if a 'comments' or 'additional information' section is provided on the document, use it to explain why you were unable to provide the full information that was requested.
Hope that helps,

Darin MSHi there, thanks for the reply, I just realised I was looking at the wrong number on the CoA, There is a 14 digit code that ends with - MSIN, is this the correct code ? Not sure what you mean by MSDN ?
Thanks for your time.
NO - that is not the correct code. THERE IS NO CORRECT CODE FOR YOUR PURCHASE.You have bought a counterfeit copy of Windows 7 from a known source of counterfeits (we've seen them before here). Please read the Stickies that an pointed you at for further information. You need to claim a refund from the vendor (NOT A REPLACEMENT - which will go the same way as your original purchase)If you're lucky, you'll get your money back.Whatever happens, you need to purchase a legal license from a reputable vendor.

Right ok thanks, I'll send the disc to the product ID team, unlikely that I'll be able to get a refund from play.com now as it's been 5 1/5 months since I bought it, off to pc world tomorrow then to buy another copy. thanks for your time.Wednesday, December 29, 2010 11:32 PM -

It is worth calling them - IIRC they are one of the (very) few who do actually do a refund. Make sure that you point them at this thread, if asked for proof of a problem - your proof of purchase is up to you.--

I have had the same problem. Message in bottom right of screen has dissapeared now, but I am unable to validate my copy of Windows, unable to recieve downloads or start print spooler or software protection services. I purchased the PC from MESh computers so Windows is genuine. Their support is lousy though, they have suggested restoring the PC to factory defaults so I will lose all my data!
