6 Month Extension for Windows OneCare by email with 6 attachments! Is it from Microsoft? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Today (11-28-09) I received an e-mail, in my JUNK mail of my Hotmail account, saying it is from Microsoft billing.  It offers a 6 month extension for my OneCare.  It has 6 attachments! It says I must download all 6 attachments. This doesn't look like Microsoft's way of doing business.  It is from MICROSOFT *ONECARE (billing@microsoft.com).  I haven't opened the thing.  Is there a way that I can send this email to Microsoft for verification?

  • It's real. The attachments are a variety of embedded graphics. You can choose to ignore it and simply sign in at https://billing.microsoft.com with your subscription LiveID to see the details.
