    To the Microsoft Team

     

    I have a Windows XP CD that failed the validation process. I have been reading about the Microsoft Genuine Windows Offer and specifically the complimentary replacement offer. I purchased my CD on Amazon. I would like to know what exactly I need to do to avail of this offer. Can you email me the exact address where I have to mail the counterfeit CD and other required paperwork?

    Roger,

    The nongenuine and suspected hi-quality counterfeit XP must be installed and then fail the WGA check.  Once it fails, you will see messaging and will be given links on the computer for you to follow to submit suspected hi-quality counterfeit materials.

    It is installed and everytime I turn my computer on there is a ballon at the lower right corner that keeps telling me that I "may have counterfeit software". The product key did not pass validation. But there is no lead or link to a physical address or POBox that I can mail all the items to. It just tells me I can do this and do that - there isn't even a telephone number I can call. This is very frustrating. I would just like to know where I can mail the counterfeit CD and the invoice and other items that have been requested and see if I qulaify for the free replacement offer. I bought the Windows XP CD on Amazon.
