  • I hope everything has been clarified here. but I think it might be good to add a few line here.

the SyncGroup's main purpose is to ensure all tables within the same group are sync-ed under a single transaction. i.e. it is not used to sepcify which table to sync with a particular sync session.

so given that, what you need to do is to dynmaically generation the SyncConfiuration for each sync (and use this for your desired sync for set of tables ) as the link ( http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.synchronization.data.syncgroup.aspx_) Mahesh pointed to.

    Hope this helps.

  • Hi Archan,

Can you clarify your scenario?  Are you writing synchronization code or is this maybe involving SyncToy?

  • Hi

Actually in Project we have around 10 different modules and we want the Clients to Sync their database with the Server database as and when they require and also which module they want to sync. This will help us reduce the network load.

Say if One Client want to only sync the tables for Registration module..He should be able to do that..

Is that clear to you..Please let me know

    Thanks

  • Hi Archan,
yes we do support the ability to synchronize a certain group of tables. However this is only available on the Hub-spoke providers. Please refer documentation on SyncGroups http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.synchronization.data.syncgroup.aspx to more information.

  • I went throgh the link...
In Our project we have implemented all these things. Now we want that Among the Sync Groups we have defined we will Synchronize the Sync Group specified by user not all the Sync Groups.

Hope this time I am clear to you about my requirement...

    Thanks

  • Hi Archan, are you saying that with the definitions of you specific syncgroups, are you not able to sync only the syncgroups you have defined?
