WD 1TB Green disk with Advformat Tech issue. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dears,
I have a WHS box with 1x808GB green disk as system disk and 1x1TB traditional Green disk for storage pool disk.  On Feb 17th, the system disk failed and WHS cannot boot. Before sending the failed disk to the supplier, I buy a new 1TB hard driver to replace the 808GB disk.
The new disk is a driver with advanced format and in some forum I get to know that this new tech have some compatible issue with the WHS.   Someone have hacked the WD's aligned software to enable the installation  on WHS. But I concern the mix usage of the traditional Green disk and the advanced format Green disk.
The web store will take about $10 if I exchange the driver with a traditional Green disk.
Who have the experience about the advanced format Green Disk?

    WHS is ready!
