This thing can go either of two ways:
- The request pages keep growing which result in desperation, chaos, pain, agony, waste of time/effort/energy and bad experience; aka hate.
- You can provide a link on profile page "verify your account". The whole world will understand what will happen when you click on it: You will get an email with verification link. Clicking the email will remove the limitation.
I'd prefer the latter one.
