Breckenridge connector will not install on client computer that has ESET NOD32 anti-virus RRS feed

  • During our test phase, we found a problem with Breckenridge indicating error during installation on client PC running Win 7 with ESET NOD32 anti-virus. This happens on both the 32-bit and 64-bit OS. We have narrowed it down to a problem with ESET NOD32 causing the error.

    System Requirements:

    *Pivate Network
    *Breckenridge NAS.
    *NOD32 Anti-Virus 4
    *Any Windows 7 without .Net Framework 4

    Steps to reproduce:
    1.Use a system with NOD32 anti-virus 4
    2.Image a system without .Net 4 or uninstall both .net 4 Client Profile and Extended.
    3.A separte restart is needed after each component of .net is uninstalled.
    4.With IE type in the name or the IP address of the Breckenridge NAS with "/connector" added to the end of the URL.
    5.You will be redirected to the connector download page. Click on the download link.
    6.Follow all prompts and instructions to download and install the software.

    An unexpected error message is given. Install will always fail on the first attempt, but on the second or third try install will complete. The packaged .net 4 installer included in the connector seems to be throwing an error during its installation. Attached screenshot and app log attached.
