I represent a CSP that operates in the educational technology sector and have the following four questions:
- 1. As a CSP Indirect reseller, do we expressly have to partner with a Microsoft ‘direct provider’ in order to resell software?
- 2. Our customers are educational institutions and our pilot project requires 750 devices, we would like to provide them with Windows 10 using Microsoft educational pricing. The OEM has
requested a ‘LOE’ – we require clarification on this term and would like to know how to obtain ‘LOE’
- 3. We have been of the understanding that through our CSP Indirect Reseller status, we would be able to acquire the Authorised Education Reseller / Authorised Education Partner status
through a short test, in order to supply Office 365 A3 licences to the users of the pilot project, by using the 1:40 ratio of the school plan (1 paid subscription teacher to 40 students for free subscriptions) to provide this licensing, so that we can share
these licenses with the OEM to load the devices with the Office 365 A3 package along with the Windows 10 educational edition before dispatch – making the acquisition of these devices for our educational customer, much more cost effective – but we have been
unable to navigate to this anywhere online.
- 4. We would sincerely like to explore the possibility of acquiring hardware, such as the Surface Go2 for academic staff and students, for reselling and are currently looking for how
this may be possible
Any guidance and assistance would be sincerely appreciated.
