WINDOWS ERASED MY OFFICE XP - FED UP RRS feed

  • Question

  • I volunteered to test the Beta for Microsoft Office.  I already had Office XP on my HP notebook.  Well when I attempted to use the beta it asked me to uninstall it from the computer because the beta was over.  I did that, and it did NOT replace the previous version on my computer and now I do not have a version of Office on my computer at all!!  Of course Microsoft wants to charge me to speak to customer service and find out why my entire copy of Office has been removed because the Beta was uninstalled!!!

Thank you microsoft, you truly make me want to participate in more of your Betas!!

  • Yep, there is a statement on the page for Office 2007 that says the previous version will have to be re-installed from disk.

  • You'll need to find your original Microsoft Office XP installation CD and Product Key, then reinstall your Microsoft Office XP software.
