Why can't I start my computer?

  After 4 years. Now when I try to start my Stationary Window 7, I get a error message that it can't find any operating system on my computer. So how can I make it find it and start again or do I have to move over to Linux. I have program I don't want to lose that I work with and have no chance to re-install, becouse I can't find all the codes I paid for. Please Help Me
