Off Topic: windows media player RRS feed

    I cannot open video files that people send me through e-mail, using windows media player. It says something about a codec? Is there another way to open those video files through something other than media player? I cannot figure it out for the life of me, or someone elses!! please help.....

    Try VLC Media player.  It has pretty much every codec built into it.   However you can download codecs from the web for WMP11.  Just need to know which codec you need - like divx and xvid - the two most popular.
