Hi there! I'm just sharing what I've experienced
I was just casually uninstalling some apps to free up some storage space on my laptop and suddenly the screen/wallpaper turned black and all my desktop shortcuts became blank white paper and some disappeared. I checked my documents and all my files are gone
even my Mozilla Firefox's bookmarks and datas too. I didn't know what to do so I went to a local computer repair shop to get my files recovered. I ended up spending $250 and unfortunately they were only able to recover 80% of my stuffs. The technician told
me that there's something wrong with my laptop because it keeps deleting the files he was trying to recover. I decided to use the factory reset feature of windows 10 so I could start fresh on my laptop. Unfortunately the reset failed and now my computer is
unusable. I couldn't sign in my account and a new user account appeared that I don't know what the password is. I gave up and went to repair shop again to get my laptop reformatted and again spent another $130 for that.
I recently watched a video regarding Windows 10 update that apparently deletes all the files when you enable the automatic update option in the settings and I believe I enabled that option on my laptop. Here's the link: https://youtu.be/vUQRIsHBvYU
I'm so frustrated that this happened to me and knowing I didn't do anything wrong.
Does anyone have experienced the same thing happened to me?
Any suggestions what to do regarding this issue?
