Outlook Configure RRS feed

  • Kinda new at this. We just setup Dynamics online, I can access if fine online. One of my associates was able to configure outlook just fine. I cannot. I am running Win7(64) and Outlook 2010(64), when I launch the config wiz from outlook with server url: CRM Online, it authenticates correctly and lists my org, but when I hit okay, a message pops up while adding org, that there is a prob connecting with server. This is the first error in the log:

    08:46:50|  Error| Error connecting to URL: https://disco.crm.dynamics.com/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc Exception: System.ServiceModel.Security.SecurityAccessDeniedException: Access is denied.

    I have checked my machine time, and tried adding exceptions to firewall etc. Still no luck. Any ideas?

  • open the url in IE https://disco.crm.dynamics.com/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc and see if you can successfully open it

  • Also, ensure you added the CRM URL to trusted sites in IE.  If you are getting a login prompt when opening the CRM URL then chances are you will not be able to configure the CRM Outlook Client.  Also, ensure you have removed Windows logins.  Sometimes windows logins are passed in the background and cause incorrect credential use when attempting to configure the CRM Outlook Client
