Where do I start? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I currently work on Windows 2003/2008 servers as a fist level support tech. I want to dive deep and start to undestand the systems I currently work on. If I wantd to start at the bottem of the Server 2008 certs and work my way up... what is the best path to take? I currently have a MCITP for Windows 7.

  • You would start with getting your MCSA in Windows Server 2008. That involves passing three tests. 70-640 70-642 70-646. Here is a link for more information.

Also taking a Microsoft Official Course would be a good idea. There are a lot of server courses that you could take.  6419 and 6425 are two of my favorite server classes. Here is more information on those.

before you starting studying books and get certification you must had a good knowledge about Servers, and i Suggest you to do these steps because it's changed my life 100%

    so start from

MCITP: Server Administrator  to MCITP: Enterprise Administrator to MCITP: Virtualization Administrator , also get certified for 70-685 or 70-686 , also if you can get MCTS: Exchange Server 2010 it be the best.

    Regards,

    MCT / MCITP / MCTS / MCSA / C|EH
