Visual Studio Mac - Failure to import Simple web service SLN RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I attempted to try the Visual Studio MAC beta by importing a simple website / web-service, but I get the following error when building:

/Users/****/Code/ConsumerWebsite/FW/FW/FW.csproj(3,3): Error MSB4019: The imported project "/Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/Versions/5.2.0/lib/mono/xbuild/Microsoft/VisualStudio/v15.0/WebApplications/Microsoft.WebApplication.targets" was not found. Confirm that the path in the <Import> declaration is correct, and that the file exists on disk. (MSB4019) (FW)

Anyone have any ideas how to address this issue in the beta?

    Cheers,

    -Randy

  • Hi Randy,

Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.

    >>/Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/Versions/5.2.0/lib/mono/xbuild/Microsoft/VisualStudio/v15.0/WebApplications/Microsoft.WebApplication.targets" was not found.

You have two options. You could copy Microsoft.WebApplication.targets from your development box, or you could install Visual Studio on your Mac machine. The simplest solution is to copy the file, making sure to reproduce the directory structure exactly.

    Best Regards,
