    I am trying to backup my files and it keeps saying my flash drive is not connected.  I have tried both ports.

    I assume that you are using OneCare. I've moved your post to the Backup topic folder. Have you ever backed up to this device before? If not, I suspect that your flash drive is not supported by OneCare backup due to capacity.

    that Stephen B. mentioned may not be supported:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943913

     

    As I understand it, the minimum for the usb flash storage device is 8GB.
