VS 2017 Deploying and Starting SCD Application RRS feed

  • Question

  • To Whom It May Concern:

I am trying to deploy the smallest (only what I need) Asp.Net Core application using Kestrel.

However, I can not figure out how to do that in Visual Studio 2017.

I am trying to mimick the node.js use case where I start up an instance from any random folder with the least amount of modules to do the job.

    1) How do I deploy only the .Net Core files necessary using Visual Studio or the cmd line?

    2) How do I start an SCD instance (NOT USING "dotnet run") within a folder (NOT USING IIS) from Visual Studio or the cmd line?

    Thank you,

    Ryan

  • Hi Ryan,

I move your thread here since it's not App Studio related question so that it can appear under right category.

    Thanks for your understanding.
