Windows Live Messeger crashes due to auto-generated friends request RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hello,

Recently my Windows Live Messenger crashes everytime 5 seconds after I login. Subsequently I tried the good old MSN messenger to see if I could still login, which I could, but I receive 30+ friends request with very dodgy email addresses. I have blocked all those request in MSN messenger, but upon signing out it says all those addresses could not be blocked. Another thing is, all these friends request keep pouring in from nowhere and I can't seem to stop them! I suspect Windows Live couldn't handle so many friends request and thus crash.

I have conducted a full system scan with my antivirus software, I have also tried the Windows one care online scan and also TREND micro online scan which you advised in another post. Can you advise me how to disable this auto-generated friend requests?
