Office 2007 Home and Student

  I have been using Microsoft office home and Student for a few years now and just in the past couple weeks. everytime I try to bring up a Microsoft Excel, document or even try to start a new one, it keeps telling me that "it preparing to Install.  I cannot load up or use the Excel portion of my system anymore, and I run the Validation test and it tells me that mine is Genuie 100 %.. any ideas on how to get the excel program back??? I cannot even get the fis it program to correct it for me.
