Kernel32.dll Issues RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have installed a new hard drive and upgraded my memory after my old hard drive crashed.   I am currently trying to install windows live and keep on getting the following error: "The Procedure entry point GetProcessID could not be located in the dynamic link library Kernel32.dll"

I checked my system32 file and already have the Kernel32.dll file and am unsure how to resolve this issue.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Cheers

  • Hello Mungojerry31, that error usually occurs when attempting to install One Care on an unsupported operating system. Since you had One Care installed prior to the hardware change the most likely cause would be not having Service Pack 2 installed.
