  • I've only seen this when using IE in compatibility mode.

  • Mike is right. I just tested and in IE when the compatibility icon is blue (whatever that means), the dropdown menu is transparent and cannot be read. Click the icon so it is grey. This is what it looks like in IE when it is blue (pointed out by the red arrow):

    Over time I've seen several things go wrong when the compatibility icon is blue. It is easy to hit it by mistake when you refresh.

  • I had no idea the compatibility selector could be so powerful. I've never actually purposefully used it.
