Windows 7 Build 7601 And Suddenly Not Genuine - It seems alot of people have this problem.

Question
-
Hello Everyone
Booted up my lap top last week to be confronted with the message that my copy of Windows is not genuine.
The copy of Home Premium I have I purchased myself from a reputable online store and I'm currently sitting at my desk typing this with the box, disc and license key on my lap. A license key I used without issue when I upgraded my lap-top to 7 from Vista and it's been running fine since I did so well over a year ago.
I understand from reading this forum that I'm to start a new thread with diagnostic data, so I am doing so. Any help would be much appreciated.

Windows Product ID: 00359-232-6616522-86901
The product ID -232- Indicates a not for resale MSDN account. If you are not the account holder and you purchased this in a retail box, the box and it's contents are counterfeit. Demand an immediate refund from the seller

Wow, well thank you for the diagnosis. That's incredible, this thing looks absolutely genuine.
If I go to the microsoft site right now and purchase a home edition license key will all my data/software remain ok, or will it be a complete re-install?

most people have success with simply changing their product key to a genuine one. (the counterfeiters usually don't taint their product with malware)
I think this link is still working: (the Microsoft store is pushing win 8 so win 7 sales seems to be buried)
