Email router not installed CRM 2011 - test enviroment RRS feed

  • I am setting up a test environment for an upgrade (to run a In Place test run upgrade).

    I have everything working except for the email router does not install.
    That is the Microsoft CRM Email Router Service has not been installed (no files or  folder) as is the case in production

    I also downloaded the executable from the Microsoft site: CRM2011-Router-ENU-amd64.exe
    and ran that and all it does is go through the original executable install.

    In the Add/Remove I only have:

    Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Reporting Extensions
    Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server 2011 

    Version install CRM 2011 is up to UR18.

    any help or guidance is greatly appreciated

  • I figured this out.

    I changed the license from an evaluation license to the same license I had in production and
    reran the  Microsoft CRM Email Router Service  installer and it finally installed the service.

    So this stage of setting up my environment is resolved
