How do I get my product key?

  I purchased my labtop a couple of months ago and I moved not bringing the box with me. I dont know if the product key was on the box or not but its no where on my labtop is there any way I can recieve my product key and if so how do I go about doing it? I need a product key for Microsoft word and I have a Hp Windows 7. I have tried using the website the help button gives me but it never gets me anywhere not even Microsoft's website
