    If I plug someone else's Ipod into my computer's USB port what can that Ipod access?

    The specific of iTunes you know: you can syncronize only with your iPod and cannot get music out of there. You also cannot get music out of filesystem because iPod encodes the file name into hash.
    But here is the solution of the problem.

    You can use Floola . Nice music manager and able to get music from any iPod. The drawback is that when the previous version is outdated you have to download the new version. This is mandatory.

    It will update the ipod music data by itune. if you don't have that music, that music in ipod will be deleted. no other changes.
    maybe will ask some update vision question.
