I notice that if you configure Outlook to point to multiple CRM organizations, you are not able to search the accounts using just the Outlook views (Office 2010) in the other organizations. But the first organization will still work.
Steps to Reproduce:
- In Org1, add a Custom field to the Find Fields in the Quick Find Active Accounts.
- Configure Outlook 2010 to Point to Org1, go to the Account Outlook Views, Type in the "Search Active Accounts". This should work.
- Remove the all configuration.
- Configure Outlook 2010 to Point to Org2, go to the Account Outlook Views, Type in the "Search Active Accounts". This should work.
- Configure Outlook 2010 to Point to Org1, go to the Account Outlook Views, Type in the "Search Active Accounts". This does not work and we know it is not the org since this worked in step 1.
It appears that the problem only occurs when there are multple organizations and the second organization contains a custom field on that entities Quick Find. I have confirm that removing the custom field from the quick find allows the search, but
this sounds like a bug/unexpected behaviour.
Can anyone else confirm if they get the same results?
Thanks,
Sokha
