I think LCDS's SCORM package does not fellows the SCORM standard.

Question
-
Dear all,
Lately I have tried to use LCDS to create SCORM package, which runs very well on Sharepoint with LMS SDK. However, I used RELOAD Editor to open the package; it tells the package is incorrect packed. I also download SCORM package tester from “Advanced Distributed Learning” the URL is “http://www.adlnet.gov”, but the package can not pass the test too!
My another question is in the where can I edit IMS Meta-data in LCDS? If LCDS does not support, which software I can use?
Many thanks,
David

What version of SCORM does the testing tool test? LCDS is 1.2 SCORM compliant but not 2004.

I also used ReloadScorm Player 1.2.2 to test SCORM made by LCDS and get this warning:

To me it is very nice LCDS, but after experience of its use I deeply doubt its compatibility with others SCORM LMS, except Microsoft.
The main problem in a format of the reference to content as default.html#xxx. It results LMS in confusion.
If to make a redirect through another html a file the content starts to be displayed normally, but there is a problem of tracking of results (score, progress).
To customise tracking parameters passing at a redirect to me yet it was not possible.I use IBM LMS and would like to learn, whether there is for whom an experience of integration LСDS-content with yours non-Microsoft LMS.

DDDoz,according to me, the main issue with the LCDS generated content is that it is designed to run on a Microsoft IIS based web server. So as long as your LMS is running on a Microsoft platform, it will probably work. As soon as you try to run it on other platforms (e.g. Apache webserver) it does not work anymore.Hope this helps,Jan.Thursday, June 4, 2009 7:52 PM

I posted the same thing just the other day! LOL! Yeah...SCORM 1.2 - nope!
I pretty much had the same results using the ADL package tester too - guess MS has there own definition of "SCORM" - sort of the way they seem to ignore W3C standards with IE! LOL! I have used that tool for years and almost anything/everything I have ever thrown at it that was suppossed to be SCORM compliant passes with no oblems. What really made me laugh was one of the replies to this post...
"the main issue with the LCDS generated content is that it is designed to run on a Microsoft IIS based web server"Huh???? The entire point of SCORM is eliminate this sort of thing!
I would love to see some proof from MS - that LCDS can produce SCORM certified content.Again, nice tool, easy to use, produces a nice looking product - but it IS NOT SCORM compliant as MS claims!
