Windows Vista Build 6001 - This copy of Windows is not genuine

Question

I get the error referenced in the subject line of this thread every time I boot up since I installed some automatic updates from Microsoft. I looked through other threads http://forums.community.microsoft.com/en-US/genuinevista/thread/1f4be3a2-c868-477e-b24b-24ec1172c145/
and downloaded the MS Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool (1.7.0095.0) and ran it. The results:

My copy of Vista is genuine, but I keep getting the error. I've rebooted my system 4 times since the error first appeared and it's still there. Also, I don't know how this relates, but my desktop wallpaper has also been deleted. It's now blank and I can't find the original sample picture I had before I installed the updates.
Thank you for your help.Sunday, August 17, 2008 8:47 PM

Hello ejjtv,
At the time this Diagnostic was generated, your Vista was in a Genuine state so all the results just tell me it's Genuine. If/when the issue re-occures, immediatly run the Diagnostic Tool and the re-post the report. This will give me a better idea of what the issue may be.
Oh and by the way, no, your issue is not related to the one you linked to. That issue was caused by a Beta/Release Candidate version of Service Pack 1. Your Vista has the proper Release version of SP1.
Thank you,
