I get the error referenced in the subject line of this thread every time I boot up since I installed some automatic updates from Microsoft. I looked through other threads

My copy of Vista is genuine, but I keep getting the error. I've rebooted my system 4 times since the error first appeared and it's still there. Also, I don't know how this relates, but my desktop wallpaper has also been deleted. It's now blank and I can't find the original sample picture I had before I installed the updates.
