Microsoft Money 2004 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I downloaded Microsoft 10 sometime back and had to unload it as it didn't seem to support Microsoft Money 2004. Can someone walk me through the steps to remedy this dilemma, without losing the Microsoft Money 2004 I already have installed on my Microsoft 7 version.

  • When you upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10, Money 2004 should run just fine.  What error message do you get?

If, on the other hand, you are starting fresh with Windows 10 (a new computer or a "clean install"), then you need to install Money 2004 from your disk and copy your Money.mny file to the fresh install.  Then just double-click on the Money.mny file and it should open.

Be sure to have good backups of your Money.mny and/or .mbf files before you do any major change like this.

Post back to let us know if this works for you or what problems you encounter.
