Report Wizard - Sub Total and Grand total RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm using CRM 4.0, Report Wizard to create a new report.
I've inserted sub totals by Department, but would like to have sub and grand totals.

    How do I get both?

  • You should be recieving a sub total and total for each grouping you have setup, if department has the sub totals then at the very end of the report your grand total will be.  It will be named summary.

  • No, no summary on my report.

    I'm in the Report Wizard
Using the Case Entity, with a custom field Department
In the Lay Out Fields window, I'm grouping by Department.
Department propertes has Summary Type = Count.

Report is correcting counting the number of cases within each department.
I'd like to see a total count of all cases.

  • Hi PrlGrl

Sorry I misunderstood, the only way you will get a total number of cases is by creating a custom sql report in Visual Studio and using a count query

    Count (*)
    from cases
    where status = active

or similar query this will then give your total and you can build your report in VS by grouping your departments togther and totaling those up..

    Hope that helps
